NewDawn: my letter to newdawn (Community Boards

Hello former buddies,

you may or may not know i have recently applied for newdawn to play next round. This was denied to a few reasons you and me can name without thinking.

All I can say is that it is true some of my actions ( the emo , etc ) were not very worthy of newdawn to say the least. For that I can only apologize . I wont make any claims or promises that it wont happen again cause I simply do not know that.

I can say however in retrospect I see where it went wrong for me. I was happy being a player and then I decided to become more involved into newdawn and tried my best to change things how I saw them. I didn’t compromise or listen to the advice of some of the high command or fellow senior members at that time cause I was very much convinced that I was right and things should change.

I still believe improvements can be made but I will not apologize on my ideas but I will on how I communicated those and tried to force those. I was becoming obsessed with these “improvements” and didn’t see the bigger picture.

My time away from newdawn has taught me that systems are just systems. It is the people who form the alliance and not the systems they use. I focused on the wrong thing. Systems can always be improved one way or the other but the people who use them and the spirit of an alliance can never be improved. Its either there or it isn’t.

If I were to be allowed back into nd I cant promise I wont try and convey my ideas on how things might be improved. I will however work on how I convey the ideas and detach myself from confusing the systems and peoples opinion with the opinions of everyone. I can see why people were reluctant to change those systems but I took it the wrong way. I tought they were more against me then the idea itself and there is where it started to go wrong.

The end result was not a pretty sight and resulted in the unfortunate incident which I admit was very bad taste on my part and should never have happened. I did apologize in great length to him. Regardless of how people annoy you you shouldn’t be cruel to them. I lost sight of my own morals due to frustrations with some of my ideas. And I tought it would be funny but it was not and rather distasteful.

I can only hope for another chance with newdawn , I do realize the odds of this are very slim to say the least. If not non existent. But I cannot but try to explain how sorry I am for what happened and commit myself to make the wrongs right. But this voyage can only begin if you let it happen.
